About the Network of Triangle Astrologers

NC Chapter of NCGR - Serving in the Southeast US
About the Network of Triangle Astrologers (NTA)

The NTA-NCGR is a Chapter association of both astrological professionals and novices who desire to share their talents with each other and with the community.  Many of our members have years of astrological experience, providing a wealth of knowledge and the ability to answer most astrological questions.

When the Network of Triangle Astrologers (NTA) began meeting on May 29, 1996, it was comprised exclusively of astrologers who met to share their ideas and insights with one another.  By 1997, NTA changed its focus to include public presentations and monthly educational meetings open to both astrologers and the public.  From humble beginnings, NTA has grown into an association for those interested in astrology, to seasoned and novice astrologers, all of whom are dedicated to the advancement of astrology.

With growth came the natural progression to affiliation with the National Council of Geocosmic Research (NCGR).  On February 16, 1999, NTA became an NCGR Chapter and our purpose evolved as well—to explore the art and science of astrology through research and education.  In addition, the chapter strives to establish a high standard of ethics for the legitimate astrologer.  To that purpose, we are encouraging NCGR training and certification.

The NTA-NCGR supports the improvement of astrology as a science [or viable study] as such, and as related to other fields of scientific knowledge, especially with respect to the fostering of research and the publication of the results of said research under the 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization guidelines.

NTA meetings are open to both members and the general public, and are held on the third Thursday of each month, September through May.  With access to the best astrological minds our local community has to offer, NTA strives to offer insightful, entertaining and informative presentations from a variety of speakers.  We reach out to the public through lectures, expos and other venues.

Our Purpose

The Network of Triangle Astrologers has been created to:

  • Inform and educate the general public about astrology.
  • Explore and demonstrate positive uses and meanings of astrology.
  • To provide a platform for research and education.
  • Provide support and networking for those interested in astrology.

About the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR)

National Council for Geocosmic Research, Inc., (NCGR), is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in Massachusetts in 1971 for the purpose of raising the standards of astrological education and research.  Its membership of over 2000 is mostly from the United States, although international membership is growing.  Most members affiliate with NCGR's local chapters: at this writing 30 are established, with several more forming.  International chapters are in Mexico, Turkey, Peru, and one is forming in Australia.  Additionally, several Special Interest Groups (SIGs) cross wide geographical areas to foster dialogue among people of similar astrological specialties.  NCGR annually publishes two magazines, Geocosmic Journal, and six newsletters, the NCGR memberletter, plus a memberletter.  A variety of other publications are produced including an e-newsletter with the latest news, along with articles pertaining to astrology.  Membership offers many advantages.  Interested in joining or learning more?  Click here for membership information.
