In this series of classes, designed for both beginners and dedicated students of astrology, we will explore a stream-lined method of understanding life’s themes and lessons as they are symbolized in the “blueprint” of our original birth chart.  The course will also include “transits and progressions”- a study of astrological trends and cycles that influence our choices and direction in life.  The course also incorporates an introductory analysis of relationship charts between partners, family, friends and professional associates to support our understanding of the others in our life.  Additionally, we will explore “Astro-locality” – the personal astrological influences of where we live, travel and work.  In a world of constant change, astrology provides us with a map of clues and insights to better understand our inter-connectedness to all things.

Instructor George Ward began studying astrology in 1984 and has been teaching astrology for over 14 years.  He trained in New York and New England with professional astrologers from the National Council of Geocosmic Research (NCGR).  He combines his training and in-depth astrological counseling experience to bring about an innovative and engaging learning experience in his classes.  George’s publishes his astrological writing in a column in the Pleiadian Times, a quarterly international journal.

Intermediate Level Classes

Course:       Ongoing Online Astrology Mentoring Class
Instructor:  Benjamin Bernstein

Bernstein's online mentoring class restarts June 25, 2009, and will meet on Thursday nights from 8-10 p.m. US Eastern time.  It will give participants an opportunity to significantly deepen their understanding of astrology in an intimate small-group setting.  The tuition investment is much less than the cost of his individual mentoring sessions, and participants won't even have to leave home!

Classes will focus on the areas where many astrology students tend to get stuck: how to blend natal planets, signs, houses and aspects into a clear, accurate and helpful interpretation.  We will also frequently discuss how to most productively partner with the energies of the moving planets (transits, progressions and solar arcs). 

Participation will be limited to 10 people at a time, and mentees must already have a good understanding of the planets, signs and houses.  (Click here for information on two excellent books that will teach you the basics.) 

Classes will be in a flexible Q&A format, with specific topics and chart examples contributed by the mentees.  Benjamin will ensure that, over time, each student will have fair input into what the class covers.  Since there is no specific syllabus, new students are welcome to join as space becomes available.

The audio portion of the class will be via Skype conference call, while the visuals will be displayed on a special website.  The site will display Benjamin's computer screen in real time so that participants will be able to see all the charts being discussed (static and animated), as well other helpful images.  (The Skype window will also carry Benjamin's video image in real time.)  No software purchases are required to participate; all students will need is a computer with a high-speed Internet connection, a PC headset, a free Skype account and an open browser.  The audio portion of each class will be recorded, and will be available as an MP3 download to participants at no additional cost.

The class will be held weekly on Thursday nights from 8-10 p.m. US Eastern time, starting March 27.  Tuition for each month of classes, payable by verbally giving Benjamin your credit card information or by PayPal, will be required in advance at the rate of $20 per two-hour class.  Benjamin will keep a waiting list, and will open additional sections as needed to meet demand.
